Travel to Burkina Faso

Oct 2001

Martin made a first trip to Burkina Faso as a computer technician for Canadian NGOs. This allows him to better know the Burkinabè population. It was during this trip that he met Rosalie. However, he must return to Canada in May 2002 to complete other contracts.

Travel to Mali.

Sep 2003

Having obtained a contract in Mali, Martin returns to West Africa and Rosalie comes to join him in Ségou. This stay allows them to meet the mayor of Ségou and some influential people in Mali.

Wedding in Segou, Mali

Jan 2004

It is at the Djoliba hotel in Ségou that Martin and Rosalie formalize their union with the members of the Town Hall. The Canadian Gino Pelletier and the German Albert Zarth become the wedding witnesses.

Rosalie the Canadian!

May 2009

Arriving in Canada in January 2005, Rosalie finally obtained Canadian citizenship in 2009, 2 years after the birth of our son Emmanuel. A few months later, Rosalie will go to Burkina with Emmanuel to introduce him to her family.

Purchase of the first land

Summer 2013

Rosalie buys one hectare of land in an undeveloped area of Dédougou, Boucle du Mouhoun. The price was very attractive and we couldn't pass up this opportunity.

Moisson de Christ

Dec 2017

On December 17, 2017, we left for Burkina Faso following a call from God. Unfortunately, as with many undeveloped plots of land, we had lost half a hectare of our land because the previous owner had sold it to another person. Despite 4 years of inactivity, we had half a hectare left, which is a true miracle. We began the mission by creating the association Moisson de Christ, obtaining field documents and meeting several influential people such as the mayor of Dédougou who was very aware that a help center for widows would see the light of day in his city.

Jemima is born!

June 2021

We decided to close Moisson de Christ and open a new association with a more attractive image. Jemima was born with a brand new website and much more structure for the creation of the help center for widows.
